Our client is a highly regarded food company who supply premium and speciality products to a range of manufacturing customers. They now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to support their fastest growing categories.
In this fast paced and challenging role you will use your tenacity and excellent negotiation skills to open new business opportunities and develop existing customer accounts within the food manufacturing industry. Managing and developing a number of supplier relationships you’ll develop the product offering through identifying and implementing new routes to market to ensure sales are maximised. You'll use your knowledge of emerging food trends to keep your customers up to date on the latest products across a range of food categories as well as helping the company to further develop their exciting product portfolio. You’ll also be providing ingredients and product solutions that will achieve profit and margin targets whilst increasing market performance on both sides and maintaining their reputation for reliability and excellent customer service.
We are looking for a commercially switched-on foodie who has experience of working in an Account Management or Business Development role within the food manufacturing industry. You’ll be customer focussed with an interest in developing your career within a commercial role and becoming closely involved with the development of the company’s innovative product portfolio. You’ll need to be commercially aware, confident at developing effective working relations and have excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
