The Role

In this predominantly office based role you will report to the Head of Sale – UK & International and have full responsibility for your designated retail accounts, generating revenue opportunities, building and developing long lasting relationships with your existing client base whilst seeking out potential new customers. You’ll be delivering monthly sales forecasts, advising on forthcoming industry developments and monitoring sales performance to exceed targets and drive business growth.

Using your market knowledge and expert negotiation skills you’ll create proposal documents, providing lucrative solutions in line with up and coming food trends whilst agreeing costs and delivering high level contracts and tenders. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with following up on customer queries, successfully fulfilling requests to a level beyond expectations and guaranteeing first class customer service in line with set budgets, timescales and business strategies.

The Person

We are looking for a self-motivated and customer oriented Business Manager with a real passion for the food industry and a track record of building volumes with major retail accounts. Along with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm you’ll have previous experience of formulating business plans within a food manufacturing or food retail environment. You’ll have commercial awareness and excellent knowledge of food trends as well as the ability to maximise opportunities and achieve ambitious targets with highly profitable results. You must have amazing communication and negotiation skills and will be able to deliver presentations with flair and finesse in order to influence key decision makers at all levels. In addition you’ll need to have proven project management expertise which will enable you to surpass expectations and build vital relationships with cross-functional teams as well as your growing customer base.
