International Business Manager

The Role

Responsible for the creation and delivery of the international sales strategy, you’ll take personal ownership for entering and expanding the key markets in Canada, USA, Ireland & The Netherlands. Being the commercial lead, you’ll be perfecting your customer management skills through generating new business whilst building and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The first point of contact for your customer base, you’ll be directly responsible for managing expectations and providing solutions for the commercial benefit of all parties, including full P&L ownership and improvement.

Working cross-functionally, you will be co-ordinating plans to align the company’s strategy with customer marketing activities. This will include securing NPD listings, agreeing the launch and supply plan as well as ensuring all promotions are signed off internally. In addition you’ll support and develop a junior International Business Manager.

The Person

We are looking for a proactive, tenacious and enthusiastic Business Manager who has a real passion for food and experience of developing new business, especially with international companies. Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry is essential along with a proven track record of successfully developing new business, managing key accounts and providing successful food solutions. Highly numerate and computer literate, you’ll have an understanding of complex P&L structures. As well as outstanding communication skills you must have excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities with a natural flair for influencing key decision makers.
