Reporting to the Head of Supply Base, you will contribute to the smooth running of the site by ensuring the delivery of raw materials to the operational teams are within agreed specification. This will include carrying out raw material and ingredient checks to ensure only products are in-spec and from approved suppliers are accepted. You will also be ensuring the supplier microbiological and chemical tests results are collated, analysed and logged to form supplier scorecards and to ensure reoccurring issues are address and prevented.
You will be co-ordinating internal audits against GMP and HACCP whilst supporting with third party supplier and BRC audits as well as visiting suppliers to investigate any quality issues that have occurred. You will conduct ‘in process’ raw materials audits to ensure correct use and handling as well as coaching production operatives. Supporting cross-functional projects and working with NPD will also be another aspect of the role.
We are looking for a Food Technology or Science graduate who has developed their technical and QA knowledge within a high-risk food manufacturing environment and is now looking to take the next step. Previous experience of co-ordinating systems and maintaining key product documentation is essential as you’ll be instrumental in keeping the company’s high quality standards. In addition you’ll have conducted audits and implemented controls to improve product quality in accordance with HACCP and BRC requirements. Your keen eye for detail is also vital for succeeding in this role along with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
